We mine gold in Matabeleland South. Come build it with us.
EuroAfrica Resources is a wholly Zimbabwean-owned gold producer. We run our own exploration, open-pit and underground mining, crushing and milling, and heap leach plant — and we are always looking for people who want to learn the whole chain, not just one corner of it.
Who we are
A young mine, run on old-fashioned standards
Established in 2020, EuroAfrica Resources takes gold from the ground to finished product on one site — exploration and drilling, open pit and underground, crushing and milling, heap leaching and cyanidation, carbon adsorption and residual disposal.
We want to grow into a leading metal producer by applying sound mining principles safely and cost-effectively, without harming our people, our community or the environment. That means safety is treated as a way of life here, not a poster on a wall.
- We respect each other's cultures and treat colleagues with dignity.
- We push decisions down to the people doing the work.
- We communicate with the workforce regularly and honestly.
- We acknowledge and reward superior performance.
- We build teams through consultation, not instruction.
Our operations
How gold gets made here
Seven stages, all on one site. Whichever one you join, you can see the rest of it from where you stand.
Mineral exploration
An XY-4T drill rig maps what is underneath us. Five exploration boreholes so far, 584 metres of drilling, and counting.
Core sampling & diamond drilling
Core comes up in trays and gets logged metre by metre. This is where the grade of the deposit stops being a guess and starts being a number.
Open pit mining, drilling & blasting
Benches are drilled, charged and blasted on a controlled schedule, then loaded and hauled. Every blast is posted in advance and the area is cleared.
Underground & shaft work
Adit and shaft development gives us access to the reef below the pit. Ore comes out by cocopan on rail to the tipping point.
Tramming & ore handling
Winch operators and trammers move ore from underground to surface stockpiles, ready for the crushing circuit.
Crushing, milling & agitation
Primary, secondary and tertiary crushing take run-of-mine rock down to the size the leach pads need. Conveyors, cone crushers, screens, and the fitters and electricians who keep them running.
Heap leaching, carbon adsorption & residue
Crushed ore is stacked and irrigated on lined pads, the solution is drawn through carbon columns to strip the gold, and residue is disposed of under our environmental management system.
